Day 1: Arrival in Delhi

Arrival in Delhi. Meet at the airport and transfer to the hotel by air-conditioned coach.

Reception at the hotel - flower necklaces and welcome drink. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Check-in at the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2: Delhi

Buffet breakfast at the hotel. Morning transfer by bus to Old Delhi. Walk in the old market and visit of the great Jama Masjid Mosque, the largest mosque in India, facing the Red Fort.

Visit the tomb of the Mughal emperor Humayun. Humayun's tomb was the prototype of the Mughal tombs of which the Taj Mahal is the most illustrious model.

Visit of the Qutab Minar (the tower of victory), the highest artificial tower of the country with its 72,5 m height. Then, passing by the Gate of India and the Presidential Palace and by the Connaught Place, the commercial center of the new city of Delhi.

Return to the hotel. Buffet dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 3: Delhi - Agra - Bharatpur (by train)

Departure for Agra: 2 hours by train.

Visit of the Taj Mahal funeral mausoleum, built by the Great Mughal Shah Jahan in homage to his wife, Mumtaz Mahal. The building, surmounted by an enormous dome framed by delicate bells, is located at the bottom of a splendid Mughal garden with various water features.

If time permits: visit the Red Fort, a replica of the one in Delhi and like the latter, a symbol of Mughal power. (Taj Mahal is closed on Friday).

Departure towards Bharatpur to spend the night there.

Day 4: Bharatpur - Ranthambore (by train)

Drive to Bharatpur station to take the train to Sawai Madhopur (near the park): 2h to 2h20 of journey.

Check in at the hotel near the park of Ranthambore.

Day 5 : Ranthambore

Ranthambore National Park is a vast nature reserve located near the town of Sawai Madhopur in Rajasthan. The park is also home to the imposing 10th century hilltop fort of Ranthambore, the Ganesh Mandir temple and the Padam Talao Lake, known for its abundance of water lilies.

Formerly a royal hunting ground, tigers, leopards and swamp crocodiles abound.

Safari in 4x4 for this day.

Day 6: Ranthambore - Jaipur (by surface route)

Departure to Jaipur by land, about 180 km / 3h to 3h30. Check in at the hotel.

Day 7: Jaipur

Buffet breakfast at the hotel. Departure for the visit of Amber Fort in Jaipur, elephant ride to Amber Fort.

Founded by the Minas tribe, it was taken in 1037 by the Rajputs, who made it their capital until they abandoned it for Jaipur, a modern city built in 1728 on a checker board plan by Maharaja Jai Singh II.

Visit the majestic halls, marble and sandstone pillars, corridors and secret passages, small rooms which still keep vestiges of their refined decoration, paintings, mirrors, stained glass of Murano. And temples, at least one of which is still active, dedicated to the goddess Kali.

Descent by jeeps and return to Jaipur. Buffet lunch at the hotel.

Afternoon, departure for the visit of Jaipur.

Visit the City Palace - A City within a City. At the heart of the city, the sprawling City Palace occupies two of the nine quarters that originally made up the city of Jai Singh II. The Palace, in the Rajput style, is remarkable for the abundance of detail and richness of decoration, and is distinguished by a succession of palaces with different functions. Its walls house a textile and costume museum, collections of miniatures and weapons, the audience hall and courtyards with richly decorated doors. The most remarkable buildings are Diwan-i-Am, the public audience hall, Chandra Mahal, the moon palace, where the current Maharajah lives, which is closed to the public.

Then, visit the Jantar Mantar, observatory of the maharajahs of Jaipur: huge astronomical instruments in sandstone painted in yellow and marble testify to the passion of Maharajah Sawai Jai Singh II for the sciences of the sky. Futuristic architecture of sundials, signs of the zodiac and other astrolabes. A huge triangle dominates this science fictional space, the Samrat Yantra allows to read the time and the position of the planets...

On the way to the hotel, you will admire the amazing : Hawa Mahal "Palace Of The Winds" a facade of pink sandstone finely carved behind which hid the women of the court. On five floors, its facade, decorated with niches, has no less than nine hundred and fifty-three curved windows. Return to the hotel. Buffet dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 8: Jaipur - Udaipur (by surface)

En route to Udaipur: about 400km / 7 to 8 hours drive

Udaipur - a picturesque and romantic city surrounded by five lakes. Udaipur was founded by Prince Udai Singh in1537 and ruled by the royal family until 1947. One of the most beautiful cities in Rajasthan, situated on a hill to the east of an artificial lake (Lake Pichola) and also surrounded by the Fateh Sagar and Swaroop Sagar lakes, Udaipur is a green oasis in the middle of the arid lands of Rajasthan, with its marble palaces, beautiful gardens and tranquil lakes. The Lake Palace, a good example of Udaipur's cultural tradition, was built on Jagmandir Island in Lake Pichola. Its construction was initiated by Karan Singh and continued by Jagat Singh in the 17th century. It was for a long time the summer residence of the maharanas. It is a city that takes pride in its heritages a center of arts.

Day 9: Udaipur

Sightseeing in Udaipur.

You will visit the City Palace, built in 1710, located on the banks of Lake Pichola with its beautiful courtyard sand magnificent halls like the "Dilkush Mahal", "Karan Mahal" and "Moti Mahal" built in white marble.

Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Udaipur.

Day 10: Udaipur - Jawai (by surface, about 150 km / 3 h)

Departure for the park of Jawai through the roads of Rajasthan: approximately 150 km / 3 h.

The Jawai Hills are located in the Pali district of Rajasthan, consisting of grasslands, riverbeds and pastures. The Jawai Hills were shaped by lava millions of years ago and today the natural caves and rock shelters of the Jawai Hills are home to leopards and Indian striped hyenas.

Day 11: Jawai (AM & PM leopard safari)

The Jawai reserve is known as the best site for leopard viewing.

The caves in the lava mountains known as the Aravalli range, created thousands of years ago, provide a natural habitat for leopards.

This area is also known as the land of leopards and shepherds and has attracted the interest of many international film makers from BBC, National Geographic, Animal Planet and Discovery Channel.

Morning: Jeep safari in the 4x4 safari vehicle for a 3-hour wildlife viewing tour.

Return to the hotel for lunch. Free time to relax and have lunch. Then depart for the afternoon jeep safari.

Day 12 : Jawai - Jodhpur

En route to Jodhpur: about 160 km / 3 hrs.

If Jaipur was nicknamed "Pink City", Jodhpur deserves the appellation of "Blue City" because of the characteristic blue hue of its old houses: the facades of the houses vary from sky blue to cyan blue with yellow exceptions.

Day 13: Jodhpur

The second city of Rajasthan, formerly the capital of Marwar, spreads out around the impressive fort of Mehrangarh, built on a rocky mass of 122 m high. Situated on the edge of the Thar Desert bordering Pakistan, Jodhpur was founded on the old strategic Delhi-Gujarat route used for the Marwari-run trade in opium, copper, silk, dates and coffee among others.

Visit of the Mehrangarh Fort which rises above the plain on a 120 m high rock. Sheltered by its ramparts, the maharajas built a luxurious palace there, now transformed into a museum which houses superb collections of weapons, miniatures, sedan chairs and other princely objects.

Then return to Jodhpur and stroll through the Clock Quarter in the old city with the fruit, vegetable and spice bazaar and the small trades of the city.

Day 14: Jodhpur - Delhi (by flight)

Departure for the airport of Jodhpur to reach your flight towards Delhi: duration 1h30.

Welcome at your hotel.

Day 15: Departure from Delhi

Transfer to Indira Gandhi airport for your departure.
